Lessons Learned From Global Expansion

When talking to our members about areas where they see great opportunities for growth, mobile and social are almost always at the top of the list.  However, international expansion is mentioned just about as often, but many times it is accompanied by a feeling of trepidation.  There is great risk and investment in expanding your operations world wide, but there is also incredible reward for those who do it correctly.

A few months ago I had the pleasure of seeing Ulric Jerome the Executive Director of Pixmania.com speak at our Global eCommerce Summit in Monaco.  He is someone who has expanded his operations across the European landscape with a great deal of success.  To sum it up, if you are going to do it, you have to do it right.  There are no shortcuts, but there is definitely gold at the end of the rainbow.

This Wednesday January 27th at 1:00 PM EST, Ulric will  be the speaker on a webinar where he will share “10 things he has learned in 10 years of selling online” in regards to succeeding across Europe.  He will be joined by global expansion expert Zia Daniell Wigder, Senior Analyst, Forrester Research, and this webinar  that is open to both NRF and Shop.org members.  Whether you have just launched internationally, have been in business in Europe for a long time, or even if you are just considering expanding — you are going to come away from this webinar with specific advice on how to succeed and pitfalls to avoid.   To register simply click here and remember — it is free for NRF and Shop.org members and you can playback this webinar for up to a year after the date.  Clear your calendar and cancel that lunch date, it might be one of the most valuable hours you will ever spend.
