Keeping It Simple By Using Standard Data Formats

2006 is now behind us and it resulted in another 25% year over year sales increase.  We all deserve a hearty pat on the back, but now we must face new challenges for the new year.   How can we keep this forward momentum into 2007?

In the furor to post and amend product information with Shopping Engines did you encounter a high error rate? Some Shop.org members including AOL, MSN, and The Rimm-Kaufman Group have been working with ARTS (the standards division of NRF) to develop a draft standard data format.  We hope this can reduce the estimated 35% click error rate and provide you more time to focus on selecting the right products through improved click cost information.

Please review the new Comparison Shopping Engine (CSE) standards and let us know what you think.  How many of you are using XML versus coma delineation?

ARTS in cooperation with Shop.org is offering a one day education program, SOA Boot Camp to learn how your company can implement these standards.  If you would like to suggest additional topics for the Boot Camp, please let us know what you think.
